How to Register
All student organizations must complete all three steps below to register a Student Organization. All student organizations must register Fall AND Spring semester. (Step three only needs to be done one time, but portals must be updated with accurate information each semester)

Please send at least one delegate to each registration session (if you are sending an officer please bring any new members that are available to help with transitions).

From your organization portal, click on Tools, and then click on Forms.

Creating a new organization?
New Organization Registration Form
In order to complete this form you will need the following information:
- Organization name
- 5 UNLV student members
- President (or equivalent student member) name, R ebelmail, phone number
- Faculty/staff advisor name, e-mail, phone number
- Organization purpose
- Additional group contact information (group email, website, etc)
- Create the welcome message and make it viewable to the public on your organization’s Involvement Center portal.
Register your Individual Portal (Instructions for first-time users)
- Click on the tan tab that reads ”Join an Organization” on the right of this screen
- In the upper right corner click on “Register”
- Complete the information requested for your individual portal.
- It will provide the opportunity to complete information for your individual profile.
- Join an Organization
- Click on the “Account” tab in the upper right of the screen.
- Click on “Join an Organization”
- Scroll through the list of portals; find the organization you wish to join and click join.
- The password for all groups is “rebels”. The administrator of a group can reset this password at any time.
- The name of the organization will appear on the left of the screen. This is your link to enter the organization portal. The grey tabs across the top of your screen navigate your individual portal.
- If you are the president on file with Student Involvement & Activities, email Caroline El-Khoury (caroline.el-khoury@unlv.edu) for administrative access.
Welcome Message (You must have administrative access to do the following)
- Log into your portal: (getinvolved.unlv.edu, click the tan tab labeled “Join an Organization” and in the upper right corner click on “Login”.
- Click on your group nickname on the left of the screen in green text
- Click on the gray “Settings” tab on the left column.
- Click on “Welcome Message”. Then write a welcome message. This is used as a recruiting tool, so explain who what your group is, what you do, meeting times, and other ways for them to contact you.
- Click on the green “Submit” button in the lower right corner of the screen.
Grant the public access to view it by following the directions below:
- Click on the grey “Settings” tab on the left of the screen.
- Click on “Group Permissions”
- You will see a list of modules (applications for the program) for your portal running down the left side of the screen.
- Scroll to either the “Calendar” or the “Contact Org” module.
- Across the top are the different groups of which whom you can give access to your portal. On the far right the column is labeled “Public”.
- You have the option to make things viewable or disabled for some of the modules for the “Public” group. It is suggested to the “Calendar” or the “Contact Org” button. Click view for one of them.
- Scroll to the bottom on the screen and hit the “Submit” button.

Whether you're already involved in an existing organization or planning to start a new one, it's important that your group register as an official student organization. Register and have access to benefits like:
- (New!) An on-line portal for your organization to aid in recruitment, marketing and organization management
- Promotion on the Get Involved website and additional marketing options
- Access to materials and resources in the Student Organization Resource Center (SORCE)
- A mailbox in the Student Organization Resource Center (SORCE)
- A variety of funding and co-sponsorship options
- A UNLV e-mail address for your organization (email sorce@unlv.edu for more information)
- The opportunity to schedule events and eligibility for reduced setup fees in Student Affairs facilities and green space on campus.
- Free registration for student organization information fairs
Expectations of Registered Student Organizations
- Complete the registration form each semester plus any additional requirements depending on the category under which the organization is registered (i.e. Club Sports, Fraternities & Sororities, GPSA, CSUN).
- Educate fellow members of the agreements and policies listed on the registration form.
- Adhere to the Student Conduct Code (PDF) at all times (e.g., alcohol, non-discrimination, hazing policies). Page 4 specifies student organization information.
- Inform faculty/staff advisor of organization functions.
- Faculty/staff advisor must be present at all functions that include individuals under the age of 18 and are not students of UNLV.
- Partnerships and collaborations with off-campus interests (businesses, non-profit organizations, religious institutions, national organizations, etc) are encouraged only when the interest of the students is first priority. Please refer to the Office of Student Union & Event Services at 702-895-4449 when such partnerships bring off-campus entities to campus for sales, marketing, contracts, and licensing. May be subject to financial responsibility.
