We hope that your spring semester is off to a great start! This year is full of changes for us, as we have welcomed two new staff members, Racquel Smith (Program Coordinator) and John Joseph Crandall (Graduate Assistant). We hope that you will come and visit us on the Third Floor of the Student Union, Suite 316. Our doors are always open.
How do we serve UNLV?
Students Organizing Diversity Activities (SODA) is the student programming board housed in the Office of Civic Engagement and Diversity. SODA is responsible for the planning and implementation of programs recognizing cultural, heritage and awareness months (i.e., Latin@ Heritage, LGBT, Native American, Black History, Disability, etc.). Members collaborate with underrepresented student organizations during each month and ensure that the campus community is aware of monthly festivities. SODA members are given the opportunity to create new programming ideas for each celebratory month.

- Join us on Facebook
- Join our listserve — We send out a weekly Diversit-E newsletter that is full of events and involvement opportunities on and off campus. If you would like to be added, e-mail John at johnjoseph.crandall@unlv.edu.
- Attend a Meeting — Our meetings are held weekly in Student Union 222 at 5pm.
- Attend a Program — Monthly, we host at least one program that is free for you as a UNLV student. Take advantage of this great opportunity to get connected to campus and gain a better awareness of your campus community. Also learn about our cultural leadership retreat.
